Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs signs 3 MoUs with stc, Mobily and Tahakom to enhance smart city system

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing signed today, Feb. 2, three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily), stc and Saudi Technology and Security Comprehensive Control Company (Tahakom) on the sidelines of LEAP 22 Conference. 

 

Mobily’s MoU, which was signed by Majed Alotaibi, Chief Business Officer at Mobily, aims to enhance governance and strategic cooperation in communications and information technology-related fields, SPA reported. It also seeks to increase cooperation in the fields of smart city system improvement and development, digital initiatives, while identifying programs of cooperation and development of city monitoring system.
 

Moreover, the work scope of stc’s MoU, inked by Faisal Al-Bakri, Vice President of Government Accounts, focuses on studying the necessary fiscal model mechanism to activate the ministry’s digital initiatives and discuss the aspects of cooperation via U Inspire program to enrich society lives and customer experience.

 

Tahakom’s MoU aims to enhance the position of Saudi cities among the world’s best cities through creating a platform for smart parking and lighting solutions, container management and other services to increase the quality of life.
