Riyadh Metro’s work in advanced stage, bus transport to start next month: Al Jasser

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al Jasser stated that the completion rate on the Riyadh Metro project reached an advanced stage, indicating initial services will be launched in the coming months.

Speaking at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Conference in Riyadh, the minister affirmed that the project is the largest metro project to be implemented in a single phase.

He said there were plans for upcoming expansions after the project’s launch.

He stressed that the public bus transport project will be launched next month, with the first metro line starting a few months later.

He pointed out that the Royal Commission for Riyadh City’s (RCRC) keenness to speed up the metro’s launch , which will be an addition on the national level and benefit residents and visitors in Riyadh.

Riyadh Metro will have a clear impact on improving the quality of life in the city, Al Jasser said.
