A Riyadh bus
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) announced today, Oct. 19, the start of the fourth phase of the Riyadh bus service within the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project in the Saudi capital.
Nearly 631,000 trips served more than 6.31 million passengers since the launch of the Riyadh Bus service in March, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing RCRC.
As this phase starts, the total number of Riyadh Bus routes reached 40, with 614 buses operating across more than 1,632 stations and stops. The new phase covers 70% of the total 1,900 km-long network.
The remaining phases will be launched by year-end.
The fourth phase includes the addition of seven new routes.
The new routes aim to expand the Riyadh bus services network and reduce traffic congestion.
