The Saudi private healthcare sector during the Hajj season 2024 witnessed a growth of more than 400% compared to a year earlier. This surge was driven by enhanced partnerships with the private sector, expansion of service scope, and enhancement of the healthcare quality, which supports the health of pilgrims.

The sector’s entities participated in providing care through various operational models, as part of the Ministry of Health's initiative to empower the private healthcare sector in Mina. The initiative included over 62 healthcare facilities and emergency points, the state run SPA reported.

The private sector contributed to providing emergency services to the passengers of the Mashaer Train at 18 locations along the train route. Additionally, it operated two out of the 25 health centers run by the ministry.
