Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories fell more than anticipated in the week ended Sept. 20, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Crude oil inventories shed 4.5 million barrels last week, against forecasts for a 1.3-million-barrel drop.
Likewise, gasoline stocks plunged by 1.5 million barrels. Distillate stocks, including diesel and heating oil, also lost 2.2 million barrels.
