Khalid Al-Kaf, the former chief executive of Mobily, said he tried to resign multiple times about a year ago, but the company’s board rejected.
Al-Kaf has filed a lawsuit against the company’s board for his defamation, in addition to other related claims, according to a report published by Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper on Sunday.
Mobily's board of directors suspended Al-Kaf in November, according to data available on Argaam. The former CEO will be suspended until the audit committee completes its investigations into the errors reported in Mobily’s 2013-2014 financial results.
