Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), Saudi Arabia’s second largest telecom operator, said its third arbitration session
forits dispute with Zain Saudi over SAR 2.2 billion will be held this Saturday.
The second arbitration session was held on Feb. 7.
Mobily had previously disclosed that by November 2013, Zain allegedly owed it SAR 2.2 billion under a 2008 contract for the provision of national roaming, site sharing, transmission links, and international traffic.
Zain rejected Mobily’s claims, stating it only owes SAR 13 million, according to data available on Argaam.
In their second arbitration session, the operator, an affiliate of Zain Kuwait, said Mobily’s claims were unfounded and had asked its larger rival to provide documentation to substantiate its claims.
