Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) expects to name a new chief executive officer in the near future who can handle ongoing challenges facing the company, said Sulaiman Al-Gwaiz, chairman of Mobily.
The company is also looking to implement a clear short-term strategy that provides stability before moving on to profitability, Al-Gwaiz said while speaking to Asharq al-Awsat newspaper.
He added that the Capital Market Authority’s decision to review the teleco’s financial statements will give more credibility to the company’s results.
Commenting on the company’s decision to sell its telecom towers, the chairman said studies had proved that it was inefficient to maintain high-cost assets, which can be used by other parties.
