Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Co. (Al Othaim), one of Saudi Arabia’s largest supermarket operators, said in an annual report that it’s planning to open 15 new stores this year.
Al Othaim’s total number of branches currently stands at 143, including locations within the kingdom and abroad.
The company will invest around SAR 144 million in Egypt over the next three years in retail and wholesale businesses.
The Saudi-listed firm’s earnings grew 8 percent year-on-year in fiscal year 2015 to SAR 231 million, boosted by a 15 percent rise in sales, as well as higher gains from leasing and investments.
