Non-founding foreign investors – namely swap holders, residents and qualified foreign investors (QFIs) – increased their ownership in the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) to 1.64% in the week ending Jan. 2, from 1.62% in the previous week, on net purchases worth SAR 327 million, market data showed.
GCC investors' ownership in the Saudi market inched up for the week to 0.50%, compared to 0.49% in the previous week.
In addition, foreign investors’ ownership, including strategic partners, grew by 0.01% to reach 2.20% during the last week, up from 2.19% in the previous week.
Founding foreign investors accounted for 0.56% of the total foreign ownership in the Saudi market for the week ending Jan. 2.
