Walaa Insurance says COVID-19 measures could affect GWPs

Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company (Walaa Insurance) said the precautionary measures to curb COVID-19 outbreak, including a 24-hour lockdown in several cities, may weigh on the retail business and impact gross written premiums (GWPs).

 

The insurer said in a bourse filing on Thursday that it is difficult to determine the relevant financial impact at present.
