National Building signs education facility investment deal with Tatweer Buildings

National Building and Marketing Co. signed today, April 5, 2021, a SAR 63.228 million investment contract for an educational building in Riyadh for a period of 35 years, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

The unfinished building, spanning over 10,000 square meters (sqm), is owned by the Ministry of Education and managed by Tatweer Buildings Co. (TBC).

 

The Saudi-listed firm will pay an annual rental value of SAR 1.56 million for a period of 25 years, followed by a 10% increase for each year of the remaining contract years. The first two years of the contract signing date will be granted as grace period.

 

National Building is committed to complete the construction and operation of the educational building, located in Granada district in Riyadh, according to the technical conditions and detailed requirements for private schools.

 

The contract will be financed using the company’s internal resources as National Building already paid the rental value for one year in advance upon signing the contract.

 

The rental payment will be resumed after three years from the contract signing date.

 

The statement pointed out that the company targets to develop its resources by investing in the education sector, and the contract will have a positive impact on its 2022 results.
