Knowledge Economic City’s (KEC) board of directors appointed Mohammad Abdulhameed Al-Mubarak as acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Sami Almakhdhoub, whose contract expires on Sept. 30, 2021.

Al-Mubarak will assume the new role as of Oct. 1, KEC said in a statement to Tadawul today, Sept. 28

Al-Mubarak has extensive experience in real estate investment and development areas, and has worked at well-established organizations, including Riyad Capital and the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

He joined KEC as Chief Investment Officer in 2019.

Al-Mubarak holds a Master’s degree in finance from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from King Faisal University. He also attended many specialized training programs and executive courses.

In June, KEC’s board of directors approved Almakhdhoub’s request not to renew his employment contract, Argaam earlier reported.
