Saudi Arabia updates terms for fuel stations, service centers

Saudi Arabia’s permanent executive committee for fuel stations and service centers issued the updated terms for gas stations and service centers, indicating that the adjustment of status will take up to 12 months from the issue date. This excluded the adjustment of status periods for certain requirements.

The updated terms aim to regulate the industry, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, in addition the global standards in the energy sector. These regulations also help in setting up, operating, maintaining and boosting quality of fuel stations and service centers.

The terms note that fuel stations will be operated by qualified institutions, a distance limit would be set between the fuel stations within the urban region, in addition to other terms related to quality, products and warehouses.
