Tawuniya holds 27% market share, eyes new products: CEO

Othman AlKassabi, CEO of The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya), stated the company holds a 27% market share, Asharq News reported.  

 

He added that the insurance market is growing.  

 

The insurer leads in two out of three sectors and plans to maintain its leadership through various programs, AlKassabi noted. 

 

He added that these programs include the launch of companies focusing on new sectors, like the tech-oriented Tree that targets the new generation, and others like Meena that specializes in primary healthcare services.  

 

The company plans to introduce pet insurance pending necessary approvals. 

 

AlKassabi pointed to the significant growth in the life insurance sector through savings programs and others, noting that Tawuniya had several opportunities in the general insurance within its major projects.
