Burjeel Holding PLC plans to launch two new specialized day surgery centers in Riyadh by 2025.

The centers will provide sophisticated minimally invasive comprehensive services constituting key specialties, including oncology, advanced gynecology, orthopedics and neurology, the company said in a statement.

The healthcare provider also plans to launch two international affiliated centers in the Kingdom.

The new day surgery centers are fully owned and managed by Burjeel.

The two new centers are projected to generate annual revenue of at least SAR 150-200 million once fully ramped up.

Additionally, capital expenditure is expected to range between $30 and $40 million for each center, with $10-15 million working capital investment expected per center.

The Kingdom's market is witnessing strong growth expectations and an increasing demand for specialized healthcare services.

Burjeel Holdings Al Reem Specialized Day Surgery Center in Abu Dhabi is an example of the success the specialized day surgery center model can achieve. The facility has generated significant referral traffic since it opened in 2017 and recorded AED 253 million in revenue in 2023 at a 62% inpatient occupancy rate.

Burjeel’s CEO John Sunil said the new assets will allow the company to tap into new segments and enhance its services in Saudi Arabia, resulting in increased revenue and profitability.
