City Cement Co. postponed trial operations of its new cement plant to Dec 10, 2014 as the cement grinders were not delivered on time, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.

There is no additional cost and the financial impact takes place when the commercial operations start, it said, adding that up to 90 percent of the project has been completed.

In May, the company said that the trial operation of its new 5,500 tons/day cement project will start on Oct 1, according to Argaam.

In June, 2012, the company signed an agreement with Sinoma International to build a SAR 970.6 million clinker mill.
