Municipal body orders fishery project shut

28/08/2014 Argaam

Saudi Fisheries Company received municipal request to halt operations at its fisheries land at Asir region until it secures municipal approvals, the company said in a filing to Tadawul.

The company added that the project had already obtained regulatory approvals from the agriculture, trade and industry ministries, and the municipality was no competent body to request any such approvals.

It said it was coordinating with the municipal ministry to resume its business, confirming no further costs on the project due to the delay as the fishery land is owned by the company.
