Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. SPMC, a tissue maker, launched on Thursday the commercial operation of its upgraded production line, which will add a capacity of 18,000 tons of tissues annually, the company said in a statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange.

The added capacity will have a gradual and positive impact on the company’s financial results starting in the fourth quarter of 2015, it added.

Trial operation of the production line started on Dec. 20, 2014, according to Argaam.

In October 2013, the company had signed a SAR 30 million contract with Italy’s Recard to rebuild and modify its production line, according to data available on Argaam.
