Saudi individuals turn net buyers on Tadawul after two years

Saudi individuals were net buyers of stocks on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) for the first time in about two years, with purchases worth SAR 233.6 million in the week ending Jun. 21, the stock market data showed.

 

Last week, global index compiler MSCI said it would include Saudi stocks in its Emerging Market index in a two-step process next year.   

 

Qualified foreign investors (QFIs) were also net buyers of stocks worth SAR 65.1 million.

 

Foreign investors sold SAR 180.2 million worth of shares via swap agreements.  

 

Saudi institutions sold SAR 106 million worth of stocks. Mutual funds were net sellers of shares worth SAR 32.6 million in the same week.
