SAFCO resumes commercial operations at its ammonia plant

Saudi Arabian Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO) has launched commercial operations at its SAFCO 3 plant after implementing the reliability improvement project and scheduled maintenance.

The financial impact from the plant suspension reached SAR 123 million – marginally higher than its previous estimate of SAR 121 million due to changes in product prices, SAFCO said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.

In January, the fertilizer producer said it would halt operations at its SAFCO 3 plant as of Jan. 11 for 117-day scheduled maintenance, Argaam reported.
