Jazan Energy and Development Co. (JAZADCO) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 12.2 million in 9M 2021, an increase of 27% from SAR 9.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The profit growth was attributed to higher sales, and gains from revaluation of vital assets, which comes as part of the company’s plan to increase its productivity in the shrimp farm. The company also cited a reduction in the cost of revenue and improved performance of its associates and subsidiaries.

The net profit after Zakat and tax slumped 73% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.3 million in Q3 2021 on higher costs due to the company's expansion in the production of the shrimp. On the other hand, sales revenue grew on a YoY basis.
On a sequential basis, Q3 net profit fell 71.2% from SAR 7.8 million on a rise in the cost of sales.
