Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) said the proposed amendments to the labor law, submitted on Istitlaa e-platform, do not include a two-day weekly leave for the private sector, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

The ministry added that the employer can adjust the working time in accordance with his business and the jobs assigned to workers provided that he does not violate the working time standard.

The proposed amendments include reducing the working hours for Muslim workers during Ramdan.

According to data compiled by Argaam, HRSD posted the amendments of the draft labor rules for public feedback within a month from Jan. 6.
