Saudi MSMEs receive SAR 228 bln credit facilities in Q3 2022

Credit facilities extended to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) rose by 14% to almost SAR 228.03 billion in Q3 2022, from SAR 200.40 billion in Q3 2021, data from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed.
Banks accounted for SAR 212.6 billion worth of credit facilities, or 93% of total financing. Facilities given by financing institutions stood at SAR 15.5 billion, or 7% of the total.

Medium enterprises accounted for SAR 136.6 billion, or 64% of Saudi banks' facilities, while small enterprises held around SAR 61.6 billion in the third quarter of the year, as shown below:
