Saudi citizens are required to take the booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to travel outside the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported, citing a Ministry of Interior source.

The booster dose should be taken three months after the second one. The age groups under 16 years or other groups as shown in Tawakkalna application are exempted from this condition.

All travelers to the Kingdom, including citizens, are required to provide a negative PCR test or a COVID-19 Antigen test within 48 hours of their departure from or entry into the Kingdom, regardless of their vaccination status. Children under eight years are exempted from this condition.

Moreover, the Saudi citizens who tested positive for COVID-19 will be allowed to travel to or enter the Kingdom after seven days from having a positive PCR test for fully-vaccinated people and after 10 days for those who do not have full vaccination.

These decisions will come into effect from Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 1:00 am.
