The Citizen Account Program detected a number of beneficiaries who obtained allowances unduly, as they did not disclose material information regarding their income, in violation of the program regulations and the related signed acknowledgements, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Director General of Communications for the program Abdullah Al-Hajri.

The data records of these beneficiaries proved inconsistent with the relevant resources. Some beneficiaries are proved to own yielding properties and they did not disclose that they obtain such an income.

Others are proved to have been obtaining the program allowances for more than two years, and some of them own more than 79 yielding properties.

The program is verifying and updating records to ensure that allowances are duly received by entitled beneficiaries.

Violators will be suspended from receiving the program allowances for up to two years and/or may be requested to return the allowances received unduly.
