US natural gas inventories rose by 76 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Oct. 11, below the expected increase of 80 bcf.
The US Energy Information Administration reported today, Oct. 17, that total natural gas inventories reached 3.705 trillion cubic feet (tcf), 3% (almost 107 bcf) higher than the same period last year.
Inventories are also 4.6% (nearly 163 bcf) above the five-year (2019-2023) average of 3.35 tcf.
