Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha
Saudi Arabia's technology sector has doubled in size, with each tech job creating four additional employment opportunities, said Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha.
Speaking at the 2025 Budget Forum, Alswaha said the Kingdom aims to harness its investments and infrastructure to lead in artificial intelligence (AI), which is gaining momentum.
He emphasized AI's role in boosting prosperity across sectors and enhancing quality of life, as well as linking higher productivity to improved well-being.
Alswaha noted that productivity contributions before AI ranged from 10% to 30%, but have now risen to 40%-50%, with expectations for further growth.
