Savola Group is planning to grow its presence in Sudan by investing in a new oil manufacturing and packaging facility, said Bader Hamed Al Aujan, chief executive of the company.
“We’re going to plant 700,000 acres of sunflower not only to meet the local market’s demand for oil, but also to export,” he was quoted as saying in Riyadh newspaper.
The edible oil producer currently owns one of the largest sunflower oil factories in the North African country.
