10 events to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr across Saudi Arabia

From fireworks, carnivals, and circus performances, Saudi Arabia has big events planned to entertain residents this during Eid Al-Fitr this year.

 

The Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has planned 400 events across 23 cities for the holiday, which starts in the Kingdom on Thursday.

 

Here is a look at some of the events that residents can look forward to:

 

1) Eid Entertainment – Riyadh, Jeddah

A festival featuring traditional art and cuisine for communities from South Asian countries, such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.

 

2) Eid Nights – Riyadh

The program includes several educational and entertainment sections for women and children, and includes a comedy and a national opera.

 

3) Happiness Island - Riyadh

An entertaining festival that includes a barbecue camp, acrobatic shows, singing and dancing shows, and poetry evenings of the most prominent poets in the Kingdom.

 

4) Russian Circus & Hollywood Circus - Riyadh

Circus International shows that are performed twice per day.

 

5) Jeddah Eid Festival – Jeddah

The event includes games for children, competitions, theater and folkloric teams for young people, as well as games for young people.

 

6) Eid Carnival – Dammam

A celebration through different shows: water, wireless, live, and folklore.

 

7) Water & Light Festival – Dammam

A display on water, including fountains, photolithography, pyrotechnics, laser displays and fireworks, to create a dazzling show on the Corniche of Dammam.

 

8) Light Carnival - Tabouk

The Light Carnival is the first of its kind to celebrate Eid Al Fitr. It includes activities with visual shows, laser shows, acrobatics using modern lighting techniques, and mobile shows.

 

9) Bouqshat Al Eid – Arar

The event includes traditional dancing shows, street circus, musical concert, children's play area, productive family kiosks, and food trucks.

 

10) Eid Lights - Khobar

A light show that also features many interactive and entertaining shows.
