Aldrees 9M 2022 profit up 39% to SAR 170 mln, Q3 at SAR 61.7 mln

Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Co. reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 170 million for the first nine months of 2022, a rise of 39% from SAR 122.7 million in the previous year.

The growth was driven by an increase in sales from the transport and petrol segments, as well as better other income and unrealized profit from the revaluation of investments at fair value through the profit and loss account.

 

This came despite a profit decrease from the joint venture, alongside higher general, marketing and administrative expenses. The company also reported higher financial and Zakat charges.

In Q3 2022, net profit after Zakat and tax climbed 30% to SAR 61.7 million, compared to SAR 47.41 million.

 

Aldrees recorded higher sales from the transport and petrol segments, as well as better other income and unrealized profit from the revaluation of investments at fair value through the profit and loss account.

 

Compared to the previous quarter, net profit jumped 34.4% from SAR 45.92 million.

 

Total shareholders’ equity, after minority interest, stood at SAR 1.052 billion as of Sept. 30, 2022, from SAR 955.2 million a year earlier.
