Overview
SAFCO was founded in Dammam 1965, as the first fertilizers company in Saudi Arabia. In 1991, company's headquarter was moved to Al-Jubail city. The Company is engaged in producing chemical fertilizers "Urea and Ammonia" through its plants and affiliate "Ibn Al-Baytar" that is 50% owned by SAFCO. SAFCO also owns 3.7% of the "Saudi Advanced Industries Co. (Ibn Rushd)", and 1.7% of "Yanbu National Petrochemical Co. (YANSAB)". "Sabic" owns 43% of SAFCO.
