Saudi Logistics Conference to focus on supply chain issues in Riyadh next month

The third Saudi Logistics Conference, being organized in Riyadh in October, will discuss a host of key issues relating to supply-chain management and the logistics sector.

The three-day conference, to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Oct. 13-15, under the patronage of Minister of Transport HE Nabeel Mohamed Al-Amudi, will be attended by a number of ministers, officials and decision-makers from the Kingdom and abroad.

Some of the key issues to be discussed at the conference include, “Simplifying the concepts of supply chain technology and logistics, and the future of logistics services in the Kingdom in the digital age”.

Discussions will also focus on renewable energy and supply chain issues, future logistics projects, as well as analyzing big data and its impact on companies and organizations.

“The conference aims at attracting about 2,000 participants representing the logistics field in the public and private sectors locally, regionally, and globally, in addition to the international institutions and major investment companies in the logistics sector,” Yasser Abdulaziz Al Misfer, head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Ministry of Transport, said.
