Saudi holdings of US Treasuries down to $181.5 bln in September 2019

Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries dropped by $2.3 billion month-on-month to $181.5 billion in September; its first decline since January 2019, new data released by the US Treasury showed.

 

The Kingdom remained at the 12th place among the largest holders of US debt in September.

 

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) cut its holding by around $12.1 billion to $37.3 billion in the same period.
