Saudi Arabia to implement phase 14 of wage protection program as of Feb. 2020

The Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development will implement phase 14 of the wage protection program in Saudi Arabia as of February 2020.

The Ministry said in a statement that this phase of program will be applied on the establishments employing more than 20 workers.

The wage protection program, which was first introduced in August 2013, applies to private sector firms. It aims to improve transparency around wages across the Kingdom.

The first phase was applied on firms employing more than 3000 workers, while the second phase included firms having more than 2000 workers.

Likewise, the third phase included those firms with more than 1000 workers, while the fourth phase included entities employing more than 500 workers.

The fifth phase included firms with more than 320 workers, while the sixth phase applied to firms having more than 240 workers.

Likewise, the seventh phase included firms with more than 170 workers, the eighth phase included establishments with more than 130 workers, the ninth phase included firms with more than 100 workers, while the tenth phase included entities with more than 80 workers.

Similarly, the 11th phase included firms with more than 60 workers, the 12th phase included firms with more than 40 workers, while the 13th phase included establishments with more than 30 workers.
