Saudi Arabia gears up to commence official G20 business dialogue

Saudi Arabia is set to begin with the official G20 dialogue at an Inception Event scheduled from Jan. 15-17, 2020, in Riyadh.

As the voice of the private sector to the G20, The Business Twenty (B20) represents the global business community across all G20 member states and economic sectors.

“B20 Saudi Arabia will help ensure that policy recommendations factor in the needs of the future for diverse businesses irrespective of the size – including SMEs and startups – and geographies,” Yousef Al Benyan, Chair of B20 Saudi Arabia, said.

B20 Saudi Arabia will work under the theme ‘Transforming for Inclusive Growth’, while the signature topic will be ‘Women in Business’.

In addition, two cross-cutting themes will be addressed by all the taskforces; these are SMEs and Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The 3-day Inception Event will kick-start the B20 Saudi Arabia presidency in presence of more than 400 global business leaders.

Saudi Arabia assumed the G20 Presidency on Dec. 1, 2019, going up to the Leaders’ Summit in Riyadh on Nov. 21-22, 2020.
