Saudi Arabia is set to host the 41st Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit at AlUla today, Jan. 5. The Summit will be headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

 

Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Mohammed bin Salman, said the GCC Summit aims to unify lines and reinforce the path of good and prosperity, reflecting the aspirations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his GCC counterparts towards cooperating to overcome challenges the region is facing.

 

He added that the Kingdom’s policy is based on solid foundations that aim to achieve the best interest of GCC and Arab countries.

 

Saudi Arabia has hosted several GCC Summits in the past, with the last event held on Dec. 10, 2019.
