Saudi Arabia is in the process of finalizing the second and final phase of mill privatization, said Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

“The related measures and work progress of the second phase were discussed, after the completion of the privatization first phase with the sale of two mills to Saudi and GCC investors,” Al-Fadhli said in a statement by the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO).

In September 2020, SAGO started to receive bids for the final phase of the flour mill privatisation program. The First Milling Co. was sold at SAR 2.027 billion to AlRaha AlSafi consortium, while the Third Milling Co. was sold at SAR 750 million to AlRajhi-Ghurair-Masafi consortium, Argaam reported.
