Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Co.’s (MEDGULF) board of directors appointed Goetz Kuras as chief executive officer, following Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) no objection, the insurer said in a statement to Tadawul today, Feb. 21, 2021.

 

Kuras will assume his duties as CEO starting March 1, 2021.

 

He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of insurance, and holds a PhD in theoretical physics.

 

In December 2020, MEDGULF approved the resignation of its CEO, Tariq bin Abdullah Al-Naim, and appointed Omar bin Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud as acting CEO, Argaam reported.
