Tasnee to halt ethylene, polyethylene plants for scheduled maintenance from May 23

National Industrialization Co. (TASNEE) will temporarily shut down the ethylene and polyethylene plants of its affiliate, Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co., for the scheduled periodic maintenance to enhance the reliability and operability of the plants.

 

The company said in a bourse statement that as a result of the shutdown, the financial impact is estimated at SAR 90 million based on the average prices.

 

It will appear in the interim consolidated financial statements for second and third quarter of 2021.

 

Tasnee will meet the customers’ requirements by utilizing the available inventory and will announce any substantial updates, if any, in due course.
