Saudi Arabia limits Hajj to 60,000 national, resident pilgrims

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the Hajj season 2021 will be held with a limited number of pilgrims. 

Registration will be limited to 60,000 pilgrims of nationals and residents inside the Kingdom only. 

The ministry stressed that those wishing to perform Hajj must be free of any chronic diseases, and also within the ages from 18 to 65 years for those vaccinated against the virus.

Pilgrims are required to register online and comply with the necessary precautions, to ensure their safety when performing the rituals. 

The number of pilgrims, including nationals and residents from different nationalities, reached 60,000 in 1442H. 

Those wishing to perform the Hajj this year should not be suffering from any chronic diseases, the ministry confirmed.   

It added that the Hajj season 2021 will be limited to the vaccinated persons, as per the measures and mechanisms applied in the Kingdom as regards the vaccination categories.  

The ministry will announce the executive plans to fulfill all health requirements in the press conference that will be held today, June 12.
