Tadawul suspends trading on Al Sagr, MESC for failure to post Q2 2021 financials

The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) enforced a one-day trading suspension on shares of Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Co. and Middle East Specialized Cables Co. (MESC) today, Aug. 23, due to failure to disclose financial statements for Q2 2021 during the regulatory period.

 

In a statement, the bourse stated that shares will resume trading for 20 trading sessions, starting from Aug. 24.

 

The companies are required to announce their financial statements before the end of Sept. 20.

 

If the companies do not announce their Q2 2021 financial statements during the mentioned period, shares will be resuspended from Sept. 21 until they announce their financials.

 

The decision is in accordance with the exchange’s authorities stipulated in the listing rules, and the procedures of suspension of listed securities, the statement said.
