Eastern Province Municipality launches Phase 1 of investment, development of bus stations, ads, taxis

The Eastern Province Municipality launched the first phase for expression of interest for investments for the development of bus stations, advertisements and taxis in Dammam (Dammam, Al Khobar, Dhahran and Qatif Governorate).

The investment phase will contribute to upgrading transportation services and bring about a qualitative shift in the bus transport system in general, as part of the investment advertising plan launched by the ministry to develop the investment system, develop revenues, apply the concept of financial sustainability, and achieve the objectives of Vision 2030, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Fahad Aljubair, Mayor of the Eastern Province, as saying.

The investment phase includes transport buses, stations and taxis, and will support environmental safety by benefiting from renewable energy in modern designs.

Aljubair invited investors to participate in this phase through the Municipal Investments Forum (Furas), as well as the municipality’s portal and digital accounts.

The expression of interest for investment will continue for 14 days, from Aug. 26 until Sept. 9, 2021, the municipality said.
