Ministry of Industry aims to create supporting industrial environment, boost local product: Alkhorayef

Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, said the ministry continues to develop more efficient industrial cities in line with the industrial strategy approaches. The ministry aims to create an environment that supports industry, which in turn boosts the Kingdom's competition in product cost and production.

In its Vision 2030, the Kingdom gives a great importance to the industry and mineral resources sector, given their key role in diversifying the economic base, as well as creating investments and jobs for nationals, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The ministry aims to increase production capacities and redraft labor forms to be more convenient to the experience and capabilities of Saudis, Alkhorayef added, noting the ministry’s role in helping factories achieve automation, apply artificial intelligence (AI) and follow the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
