The first phase of Idle Lands Program will be launched for the undeveloped land plots in a number of new cities, soon after finalizing the necessary legal and regulatory procedures, the Ministry of Housing's program announced today.

 

The implementation will be based on the results of housing and economic studies carried out by the program in cooperation with relevant authorities, the program added.

 

Qassim and Hail are among the cities in which the program's first phase will be implemented over the coming period, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing the Program’s statements during its participation in Riyadh's Maskan Real Estate Exhibition.

 

The enforcement of idle land fees system began on June 8, 2016, in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Makkah, date compiled by Argaam shows.

 

The Program is currently implementing its first phase in Riyad, Jeddah, Makkah, Dammam metropolis, Madinah, Aseer metropolis, Taif, Jazan, Tabuk, and Al-Ahsa, while the second phase is being implemented in Riyadh City.
