Arabian Shield appoints 2 board members

Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Co. received today, May 29, the non-objection of Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to appoint Mohammed Alkinani and Saud Bajbair as board members to complete the current term ending on Sept. 10, 2022, according to a bourse filing.

The board membership will be effective as of May 29, 2022.

The appointment, which is still pending approval of the upcoming general assembly meeting, was approved by the board of directors on May 10.

Alkinani, who has extensive experience in various leadership roles, holds PhD and Master’s degrees in finance from Oklahoma State University and University of Colorado at Denver, respectively. He also has the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certificate.

Meanwhile, Bajbair has plenty of experience in retail and branch banking, having held various leading positions in the Saudi National Bank, including head of strategy and analysis for consumer banking and head of consumer network. He holds a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals.
