DP World will operate a logistics zone in Jeddah Islamic Port, Reuters reported, citing the authority of Jeddah Islamic Port.

The contract will be signed on June 19, and this will be the first logistics park for DP World in Saudi Arabia.

In October 2021, the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) and DP World announced the start of construction for the first phase of the South Container Terminal Development project at Jeddah Islamic Port, according to data compiled by Argaam.

In Dec. 2019, DP World awarded a 30-year build-operate-transfer (BOT) concession by MAWANI, for the management and development of the Jeddah South Container Terminal at the multi-purpose Jeddah Islamic Port, with investments worth $500 million, Argaam earlier reported.
