NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr said work on The Line project’s infrastructure began a year ago, during which new unprecedented technology was developed to raise its quality of life.

In a statement to Al Arabiya TV, Al-Nasr explained that six months of meetings with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman led to the current designs of The Line.

He pointed out that international top engineering companies will implement this project.

On the other hand, the CEO noted that thousands of equipment are used in the OXAGON port, where there will be islands and residential areas that will kick off soon.

Work on NEOM's education, university and health facilities, according to Al-Nasr, will start next year, calling on Saudi companies to take part in NEOM.

The Crown Prince, who is also NEOM’s Chairman, announced this week designs of The Line project in NEOM, which will represent a leading global model that ensures sustainability in harmony with nature, Argaam’s data shows.

One of the most important specifications of The Line is that it is only 200 meters wide, 170 kilometers long and 500 meters above sea level. It will be built on an area not exceeding 34 square kilometers (sqm), accommodating about nine million people.
