Southern Cement receives technical, financial offers to build Jazan factory production line

Southern Province Cement Co. (SPCC) received technical and financial offers from companies that applied to compete for the construction of a production line with a capacity of 10,000 tons per day (tpd) at Jazan cement factory. 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the offers are currently subject to study and evaluation.  

The cement producer expects the study to be completed and the contract to be signed during the first quarter of 2023. 

SPCC's board of directors decided to start the construction of a production line with a capacity of 5,000 tpd, and develop the infrastructure for another line with a production capacity of 5,000 tpd, according to data available with Argaam. 

The company's board of directors decided in June 2021 to establish a production line at the Jazan factory with a production capacity of 10,000 tons per day, to replace the current production line.
