Saudi CST launches first alliance to support space entrepreneurship

CST participation in Garage Disrupt Event

Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) announced the launch of Space Entrepreneurship Alliance, on the sidelines of the 7th edition of Garage Disrupt event.

The alliance aims to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the space sector and will act as a platform for the key support entities of entrepreneurs across the Kingdom in the field of innovation, said Frank Salzgeber, Acting Vice-President of CST Space Sector.

The Garage is the first to join this alliance, he added.

The alliance also seeks to create a well-established infrastructure to back innovation and entrepreneurs in the Saudi space sector, provide easy access to resources and services like shared workspaces, technical labs, as well as support initiatives like accelerator programs, workshops, and hackathons.

The alliance also works on connecting entrepreneurs with investors and experts in the field.

The Garage Disrupt is a monthly event for tech startups and investors with the presence of representatives from the public and private sectors to promote growth and sustainability for startups.
